She was formerly employed with Gallant Belk and was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 40 years. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Maggie Powell of Anderson; 19 nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by six brothers, Neal, Burnice, Loyd, Owen, Guy, and Claude Powell and one sister, Clara Powell Kelley.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Charles Holland.
