Annie Will Coons Fick

On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, Annie Will Coons "Ann" Fick joined her Savior in heaven as she passed away in her sleep at the home of her daughter in Southern Pines, NC. Mrs. Fick, age 89, was formerly of Waccamaw Trail in Anderson, SC.
Born on March 30, 1922, in Opp, Alabama, Mrs. Fick was the daughter of the late Claude and Elizabeth Woodham Coons of Dover, FL. She trained to be a nurse during WWII before meeting and marrying her beloved husband, Theodore L. "Ted" Fick, in December 1942. They retired in Anderson in 1979 and were devoted to each other until his death in 1992. Mrs. Fick was an active member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her four daughters, Cathryn Flandermeyer and her husband, William, of Virginia Beach, VA; Deborah Sherman and her husband, Robert, of Southern Pines, NC; Teresa Greene of Waunakee, WI; and Sharon Tongue and her husband, William, of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
On Friday, May 29, 2015, Mrs. Fick will finally be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m., with Pastor Mark Gasque of Hope Fellowship Church officiating.
