ANNIE RUTH GARRISON April 30, 1923 - October 31, 2005DUE WEST, SCMrs. Annie Ruth Mayfield Garrison, age 82, of 8 Frank Pressly Drive, Due West, SC and wife of the late Wade A. Garrison, died Monday, October 31, 2005 at Carlisle Nursing Center in Due West, SC.Born in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Julius Mayfield and Pearl Lena Griffin Mayfield. She was retired from Clark-Schwebel and was a member of Homeland Park Baptist Church in Anderson, SC and the Sharing and Caring Sunday School class. She played professional softball with the Anderson Box Factory, (Anderson Women's League). Mrs. Garrison was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the March of Dimes and food distribution in Anderson County. Survivors include sons, James Garrison of Anderson, SC and Dale Mayfield of Palmer, Alaska; daughter, Patricia Crum of Due West, SC; brother, James Arthur Mayfield of Anderson, SC; sister, Hilda Gillespie Huff of Moncks Corner, SC; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William J. Mayfield and Grady C. Mayfield.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverends Calvin Draffin and Lee Kennerly. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Don Crum, 20 Quail Hollow, Due West, SC 29639.Memorials may be made to Due West Retirement Center, P.O.
