The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864.224.4343 Annie Lee GriffinMay 15, 1924-January 4, 2010 OBITUARY Anderson, SC- Mrs. Annie Lee Bryant Griffin, age 85, wife of the late Norman Daniel Griffin, formerly of 3911 Seminole Avenue, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late J.W. 'Bill' Bryant and Essie Shiflett Bryant. She was retired from Abney Mill as a weaver and was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Vickery and her husband Russell; sons, John S. Griffin and his wife Jane, N. Douglas Griffin and his wife Retha, all of Anderson; sisters, Marie Cobb of Walhalla, Jean Bates, Alma Garrett and Frances Bryant, all of Anderson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Jeffrey R. Griffin; one sister and three brothers. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at New Silver Brook Cemetery at 2:00pm officiated by Layman Harold Bates. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service.
