HAWKINS February 21, 1922 - June 10, 2009ANDERSON, SCAnnie Caroline Martin Hawkins, age 87, wife of Claude Mattison Hawkins, of 1302 Bryant Road, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at NHC Health Care in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on February 21, 1922, Mrs. Hawkins was the daughter of the late John Allen Martin and Annie Elliott Martin. She retired from Blair Mill with twenty years of service, retiring in 1987 and she was also a beautician. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and the Addie Reed Sunday School class. Survivors include her husband, Claude Mattison Hawkins; sons, George Allen Hawkins and his wife, Mary Jane S. Hawkins, Phillip 'Lane' Hawkins, Frank McDavid Hawkins and John William Hawkins and his wife, Janis Hawkins, all of Anderson; daughter, Claudianna H. Todd and her husband, Gordon Todd of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Lou Martin of Anderson.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, John Allen Martin, Roddy Martin and Jack Martin and a granddaughter, Anna S. Hawkins. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at Long Branch Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Don Wilson and Wayne Watson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 amThe family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
