She was 90 years old.Born in Antreville, SC, Annie was the daughter of the late Harmon Simpson and Myrtle Stuart Simpson. After graduating from Antreville High School, she later attended The Carolina School of Commerce. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. John Guy and Dr. Boggs in Abbeville, and also had worked at the Huggins Garment Company in Due West, SC. She was a member of The Eastern Star in Antreville and a member of First Creek Baptist Church.Annie Ruth is survived by sons: Larry McClain and his wife, Irene, of Anderson, and Harry McClain and his wife, Margaret, of Mauldin, SC; grandchildren: Stephen McClain and his wife Rae Ann of Kennesaw, Georgia, Brian McClain and his wife, Karen of Greer. SC and Sean McClain of Paris, France; great grandchildren: Ben, Mitchell, and Henry McClainIn addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers William, Stuart, and Pat Simpson, and sisters Opal Keaton and Jean Boyd.The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2012, at The McDougald Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am in the Chapel with the Reverend Donnie Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
