ANNIE WICKER PORTER October 11, 1914 - July 11, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Annie Idell Wicker Porter, age 91, formerly of 2404 Standridge Road, wife of the late James Felix Porter, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at NHC HealthCare in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson County, SC on October 11, 1914, Mrs. Porter was a daughter of the late Sam Eli Wicker and Mattie Rumsey Wicker. She was a homemaker and a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a former member of the Emma Lay Circle, the Golden Age Club and a current member of the Fidelis Sunday School class.Survivors include a son, James Fred Wicker of Anderson, SC; a brother, J. E. Wicker of Anderson, SC; a sister, Frances Stewart of Anderson, SC; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ernest L. Wicker; a step-son, Johnny Lee 'Bo' Porter; step-daughters, Gladys Mitchell and Helen Eller; brothers, J. C. Wicker, Melvin Wicker, Sam E. Wicker, Jr., Leonard 'Buster' Wicker and Albert Wicker; a sister, Ellen I.V. Richey and a great-grandchild. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Brent Lollis and Tommy Wooten.
