JOHNSON AUGUST 26, 1917 - SEPTEMBER 15, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Annie T. Johnson, age 95, of 309 Lakewood Dr., passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Princeton, SC she was the daughter of the late William Preston Thompson and Carrie Ada King Thompson. Mrs. Johnson was the owner of Ann's Beauty Shop in Spartanburg, SC for twenty-three years. She moved to Anderson in 1982. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church, a former member of the Sr. Choir and a former Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her son; Billy Ray Davis and his wife JoAnn of Valrico, FL; sister, Susan Ruth Putman of Laurens, SC; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard B. Johnson; sisters Sara Argel Leopard and Madgie Davis; brothers James Lodie Thompson, William "Bill" Thompson, Barksdale "Buck" Thompson, and Lawrence Thompson. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnny F. McKinney and Reverend Elwood Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from1:00 pm until2:30 pm prior to the service.
