Annie Margaret Tinsley, of Anderson, SC, and widow of Wallace H. Tinsley, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in High Point, NC on June 7, 1930, Mrs. Tinsley was the daughter of the late Alfred C. Charping and Irene McAlister Charping. She was a graduate of Anderson Girls High School. She retired as the owner and operator of Margaret's Beauty Nook, after working as a cosmetologist for over 60 years. Margaret was a member of Concord Baptist Church and awarded with distinction after working in the children's department for over 50 years. She was a member of Pacesetters Western Square Dance Club.
Survivors include her children: Carol Ann Hill and her husband, Larry; Jimmy Tinsley and his wife, Judy, all of Anderson; Alice Roach and her husband David of Walhalla; sisters, Mary Pruitt of Texas, Brenda Slaton and Betty Engram, both of Anderson; six grandchildren, David Hill, Jamie Blow, Joy Vaughn, Cathryn Vaughter, April Ables and Stephanie Roach.
The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 3:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Randy Blank. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of her son, Jimmy Tinsley, 1501 McClellan Road, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
