Ansel Brock, Jr., age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born April 18, 1933, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Ansel Brock and Beatrice Murdock Brock. He was married to Shelby Jean Brock until her death February 8, 2021. Ansel was a veteran of the United States Army who loved to tell stories about his time at Thule Air Base in Greenland. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Kevin Brock (Carla) and Scott Brock (Kim); sisters, Victorine Smith and Dorothy Brock; grandchildren, Ansley and Ian Brock and Jansen Brock; and adopted granddaughter Sommer C. Rosenbrock. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 14, 2021, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 219 W. Whitner St, Anderson, SC 29624.
