CARROLL October 27, 1920- April 14, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Ansel Oliver Carroll, age 87,of 435 Oak Shore Drive, husband of the late Alma Joyce Harris Carroll, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at NHC Health Care in Anderson.Born in Abbeville County, SC on October 27, 1920, Mr. Carroll was a son of the late George Oliver Carroll and Lillian Drummond Carroll. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and a member of the V. F. W. He was a retired farmer and a collector of antique cars. Mr. Carroll was a Methodist.Survivors include his son, Anthony Oliver Carroll and his wife, Jane W. Carroll; his daughter, Connie Carroll Ash and her husband, John Ash; granddaughter, Melonie Marie Ash, and great-granddaughter, Kaylie Harris, all of Anderson, SC.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Carroll; sisters, Irene Carroll Worley, Panola Carroll Williamson and Mary Carroll McCoy.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Crate Murphy. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, 1801 Old Denver School Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
