Anthony Charles DeSimone, age 51, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of Judy Goszy DeSimone, of Anderson, SC and the late Joseph DeSimone. Anthony was a grocery specialist at Publix. He was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He loved to fish and immensely enjoyed decorating outside for Christmas. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Diane Andrews DeSimone; a son, Anthony Andrew DeSimone; daughters, Tiffany Joy Gilliam and her husband Jimmy, of Anderson, SC and Lacy Marie DeSimone, of Anderson; granddaughter, Roxeanne Olivia Gilliam; brother, Joey DeSimone; a sister, Vickie DeSimone DeWick; nieces, Kate DeWick, Liz DeWick, Jennifer Daun and Courtney Grosman; a nephew, Jerry Daun, Jr.; and his beloved cat, Noodle. The Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11:00 am. with Father Ignatius Smith, OFM officiating. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
