ANTHONY SHANE RICE February 24, 1979 - December 13, 2006IVA, SCMr. Anthony Shane Rice, age 27, of 5555 Trail Road, Iva, SC, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at his residence.Born in Abbeville County on February 24, 1979, Shane was a son of Michael 'Puddin' Rice, Sr., of Iva and the late Dyonne LoVullo Rice. He attended Crescent High School and was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of New Spring Church in Anderson.Survivors include his fianc', Amanda Cooke of the home; father, Michael Rice, Sr., of Iva; brothers, Michael Rice, Jr., Robbie Carter and his wife, Jessica; sister, Angela Rice Glasco and her husband, Adam, all of Iva; nephews, Tylor, Brayden, Jack, Logan Grayson and niece, Valerie and maternal grandmother, Helen LoVullo of Iva. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Baldaski and Lula Rice and maternal grandfather, Robert LoVullo.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Charles Brewington.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 6-8 pm.The family will be at the home of his sister, Angela Glasco, 5569 Trial Road, Iva, SC.Flowers are optional.
