Cochran, Sr., age 89, formerly of 417 Boundary St and NHC HealthCare, husband of the late Maggie P. Cochran, died Tuesday, March 07, 2006 at NHC HealthCare in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on July 4 1916, Mr. Cochran was the son of late John W. Cochran and Sadee Strickland Cochran. He was retired from the Anderson Independent Mail after 56 years of service. He was a Mason, a Shriner and life member of the Elk's Club and was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Archie M. Cochran, Jr., and his wife, Sue of Anderson, SC, J. B. Cochran of Hudson, Mass; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 11:00 am at Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC officiated by Dr. David J. Bailey and Dr. Martin L. Harkey, Jr. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.The family will be at the home of Archie and Sue Cochran, 401 Dove Tree Lane, Anderson, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1404 N.
