Shaw, age 78, of 923 Travis Road, husband of the late Evelyn Lena Anderson Shaw, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Belton, SC on November 13, 1929, Mr. Shaw was a son of the late Sylvester 'Bud' Shaw and Emma Lee Pruitt Shaw. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was of the Baptist Faith. He was employed with Harold A. Pickens & Sons Construction Company for 49 years and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5996.Survivors include his son, Archie Brian Shaw of the home; daughters, Debbie Shaw Vickery of Iva, Sherry Shaw Strickland of Anderson and Pam Shaw Stansell of Iva, sister, Jean Shaw McConnell of Anderson; fifteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kay Shaw Fisher; brothers, Jack, Willy, Jimmy and Junior Shaw and sisters, Helen Shaw Addis, Neta Shaw Fleming, Mildred Shaw King and Sally Shaw Bray.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Layman Johnny Vickery. Interment will follow in Belton Cemetery with Military Honors by Campbell Patriots.
