Arlo Mae Bell, 93, of Anderson, SC passed into the loving hands of Jesus on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at NHC of Anderson. She was born in Samaria, Michigan on February 15th, 1922 to the late George and Gladys Bell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was very important to her. She was happy, positive, and very social with many friends. She served as a church secretary for Shawnee United Methodist Church in Lima, Ohio. She enjoyed painting, listening to music, making crafts to share with friends and family, and was an excellent cook. She attended church and was a member of the Monday Morning Women's Bible Study. Mrs. Bell is survived by her children: Marlene Hardesty of Anderson and Ronald Bell and wife Bess of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren: Leslie Leininger and husband John of Anderson, Lance Leininger and wife Dagmar of Jacksonville, Florida, and Eric Leininger of Orlando, Florida; and five great grandchildren: Paxton Petitpas and wife Brittany, Trevor, Tessa, Alexa, and Nicholas Leininger. In addition to her parents Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband: John A. Bell; her sisters: Leola Myers and Evelyn Covell; brother: Lawson Bell; and her son-in-love: Norman L. Hardesty; A funeral service will be held at 3:30p.m. Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Anderson. The Bell family will receive friends from 2 - 3:00p.m. prior the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
