ARNOLD ROCHESTER Arnold Davis Rochester, age 75, of 608 Cathey Road, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born on April 25, 1939 in Oconee County, SC, he was the son of Mrs. Irene Lamb Rochester of Westminster, SC, and the late Norman Lee Rochester. Mr. Rochester proudly served his country in the US Army, and was retired from Duke Energy where he was employed as a pipefitter for approximately 25 years. Arnold was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed Clemson Football, the Atlanta Braves, and singing with family and friends. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 53 years, Nena Parnelle Hood Rochester; 2 brothers, Roger Rochester and Lamar Rochester both of Westminster; 3 sisters, Louise Rochester Donald (Jimmy) of Westminster, Carolyn Rochester Bramlett (Thomas) and Rubynell Rochester Campbell, both of Seneca. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Mr. Rochester will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. James Ervin Dyar officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Clemson. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to extend gratitude to Sylvia and Andy Ross, Roger Hood, Betty Williamson, J. R. Hood and Rubynell Campbell for the love and care they provided Mr. Rochester during his illness.
