ART McBRIDE October 26, 1919 - August 15, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Arthur Francis McBride, age 87, husband of Rachel Voelkel McBride of 301 Mar Mac Road, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at his residence.Born in Rutherford, NJ on October 26, 1919, Mr. McBride was the son of the late Lester B. McBride and Ruth Marian Smith McBride. He was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was retired from the Sussex, New Jersey Hospital and had been a former member of the Sussex Kiwanis Club. He was an avid sports fan; loved fishing, working puzzles and working in his tool shed. Art was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson.Art was a devoted family man to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rachel Voelkel McBride of the home; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Morganstean and her husband, Charles of Coeur D' Alene, Idaho; step-son, Thomas Haywood Johnston and his wife, Carla of Aurora, CO; four grandchildren, Michael Morganstean, and his wife Holly, Sherri Manes and her husband, Alfredo, Pamela Herman and her husband, Michael, and Elizabeth Rensberger and her husband, Michael; six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Morrell of New Hampshire; one niece and nephew.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce McBride and a son, Arthur McBride, Jr.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Dennis F. Tedder and Reverend Don Cooke officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange New Jersey at a later date.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Sound System, 302 W.
