Arthur David Pepin, age 84, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at NHC Anderson with his beloved family by his side. Born on May 8, 1933, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur Felix Pepin and the late Marie Agatha Dionne Pepin. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Rita Ann Fahy Pepin. Arthur was in the United States Army from 1954 to 1974, retiring as a Major, serving with distinction in Korea and Vietnam and earning commendations including the Purple Heart. He was then employed as a Contracting Officer for the Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth, NJ. He graduated from the University of Nebraska earning his Bachelor's Degree, and earned his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mr. Pepin was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and enjoyed volunteering with the Special Olympics of Anderson. He was extraordinarily generous to family and friends, who will miss his love and friendship. Arthur is survived by his sons, Arthur William Pepin (Brenda M. Korting) of Santa Fe, NM, and David Patrick Pepin (Marcella L. Agnellino) of Anderson, SC; daughters, Lorraine Marie Brozena of Franklin Park, NJ, and Ruth Ann Tuers (Sean) of Anderson, SC; a brother, Ronald Pepin (Margaret) of Trumbull, CT; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his sisters, Joan Sorgen, Jacqueline Pepin, and Suzanne McAuley. The family will be at their respective residences, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip Gillespie officiating.
