ATTICE 'TONI' GARNER August 11, 1929 - January 6, 2009ANDERSON, SCMrs. Attice 'Toni' Helms Garner, age 79 of 133 Kaye Drive, wife of the late Knowlton H. Garner, passed away on Tuesday, January 06, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Mecklenburg County, SC on August 11, 1929, Mrs. Garner was a daughter of the late James V. Helms and Attice Elizabeth Harris Helms Powers. She retired from Clark-Schwebel and was a member of Homeland Park Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, Ken Garner and his wife, Dell of Anderson; sister, Virginia Yarborough of Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Amy Marie Garner of Belton and Chris Shore and his wife, Kim of Anderson and two great-grandchildren, Carley and Keifer Shore.In addition to husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2008 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Larry Cox. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, prior to the service.The family will be at residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
