'Bud' West, age 78, husband of the late Mary Blanks West, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC, on June 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Ansel West and Bertha Hall West. He was a graduate of Anderson Boys' High School and was a retired farmer.Survivors include his children: Bertha 'Tootsie' Goolsby and husband, Payton of Hartwell, GA, and Mary Elizabeth Marzolf and husband, Kreig of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Samantha Marzolf and Max A. Johnson; and two sisters, Dorothy West and Catherine W. McCloud, both of Anderson, SC.A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Jeff Roper.
