Audrey Cooley Branyon, age 101, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her home. Born September 6, 1921, in Pelzer, SC, she was the daughter of the late J. Dewey Cooley and Annie Hill Cooley. She was married to the late Norman Calhoun Branyon. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tony D. Branyon; and brothers, Norman, Edwin, and Terrell Cooley. Audrey worked in the textile industry for many years at both Wellington and Toxaway mills. She also worked for Skins Hotdogs retiring after more than 10 years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Whitlock; sister, Gloria Pruitt; grandchildren, Daniel Branyon and Kristina Whitlock; and great granddaughter, Rylee Branyon. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Rigsby officiating. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.
