Audrey Katheleen Parnell King, age 78, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at NHC of Anderson. Born in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Parnell and the late Sally Latham Parnell Jordan. She was a 1954 graduate of Iva High School. She was a secretary for the Honorable Ralph King Anderson, Jr. in Columbia, SC for many years and later at the Richland County Clerk of Court office. Audrey was a member of St. Martin's-In-The-Field Episcopal Church. She is survived by her sister, June Metz and her husband Russell, of Iva, SC; her brother, Roy Jordan and his wife Sandra, of Aiken, SC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Scott King; and her former husband Gene King. The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Iva with Reverend Jerry Gray officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Michael's Episcopal Church Cemetery, 6408 Bridgewood Road, Columbia, SC 29206.
