She retired from Anderson Hospital and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a very precious, gracious lady who enjoyed the company of many friends and family. She was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the piano.She was the loving mother of James Lewis 'Jimmy Turner, Jr. Two grandsons, Matthew Jameson Turner and Chase Hampton Turner and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Sanford Alvin Turner; step-mother, Alma Burke Shearer; brothers, Alvin Doris 'Buddy' Shearer, Jr., and Marion Shearer and sisters, Melba Shearer Bolt, Mary Shearer Oakley and Margeret Shearer.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Old Silver Brook Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Daryle Hawthorne.
