AUSTIN LEE MAXWELL August 30, 1994 - June 6, 2012 IVA, SC Austin Lee Maxwell, age 17, of 252 Hwy 184 North, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Born in Anderson, he was the loving son of Christopher Anthony Maxwell and Rebecca Annette McCurry Maxwell. He attended both Dixie High School and Crescent High School. Austin worked at Ingles in Anderson and was also a firefighter member of the Antreville Fire Department. He was a faithful member of First Creek Baptist Church. He loved coon hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was a wonderful son, brother, nephew and friend to many. His 17 years of life were filled with joy and fun. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Trevor Maxwell, Jon Morgan Maxwell and Amelia Maxwell, all of the home; grandparents, Elaine R. Maxwell and Alice Phillips, both of Iva; his uncles, Greg Maxwell and Leslie McCurry and an aunt, Julie Maxwell. He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Julian Maxwell, Jr. and Jack McCurry. The Service to honor the life of Austin will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at funeral home on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
