Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Born in Banks County, GA on December 30 1919, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Lonnie Thomas Jackson and Maude Mahalia Sellers Jackson. He was retired from J. P. Stevens, Appleton Mill with 29 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran serving as an Infantryman. He was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church.Survivors include sons, Alfus Wayne Jackson of Liberty, SC, Alfred Leon Jackson of Anderson, SC, Billy Ray Jackson of Marietta, SC and Leroy Avery Jackson of Belton, SC; daughters, Barbara Ann J. Allen of Liberty, SC, Vera Alice J. McMahan of Belton, SC, Laura Jean J. Allen of Liberty, SC and Rosie Ovalean J. Davis, of Anderson, SC and Sandra Christine Jackson of Texas; a sister, Lutrell J. Clardy of Belton, SC; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
