AZALEE BRYAN THOMPSON May 23, 1909 - September 29, 2008ANDERSONMrs. Azalee Bryan Thompson, age 99, formerly of Don Avenue, wife of the late George W. Thompson, passed away peacefully with her family present on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the NHC HealthCare Center in Greenwood, SC. Born in McRae, GA on May 23, 1909, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Kenneth Ira Bryan and Louvina Boyd Bryan. She retired from Orr Lyons Mills and was a member of Orrville Baptist Church.Survivors include her sons, Larry Thompson and his wife, Rita and Randall Thompson and his wife, Nancy and daughter Geraldine Lawton and her husband, Billy, all of Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Regina Thrasher, Ken Thompson, Sommer Mosteller, Anna Barrett Spraker, Bryan Richards and Aimee McGill and 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being predeceased by a son, Gary Thompson; a granddaughter, Tammy Thompson; five brothers and two sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.
