Patricia 'Pat' RiceDecember 14, 1924'January 30, 2010 Mrs. Blanche Patricia 'Pat' Rice, age 85, widow of Tunis F. Rice died peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at NHC in Anderson. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry X. Williams and Blanche Carolyn Perry Williams. She was a graduate of Michigan State University and completed her post-graduate work at Wayne State University. Pat was a retired media specialist at West Market Elementary School. She had an avid love for the arts, having been involved with the Anderson County Arts Council and The Electric City Playhouse. Pat was also Past-President of Anderson Senior Follies. Survivors include her son, Tunis 'Tim' Fletcher-Rice (Fiona) of Middlesbrough, England; daughters, Carolyn Kamees (Joe) of Anderson, SC and Barbara Huey (Jerry) of Lake Orion, Michigan; six grandchildren, Becky, Gemma, Jeremiah, Patrick, Kendra and Kirsten; two great-grandchildren, Georgia and James; brother, David Williams (Joan) of Eustis, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard Williams. The family will have a time of reflection of Pat's life on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 1:30-3:00pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
