Barbara Louise Myers Ayers, age 56, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2015, at her residence. Born in Gatesville, TX, she was the daughter of the late James Aubrey Myers and the late Minnie Lou Morrow Myers. She worked for more than 15 years at Ilpea Industries. She enjoyed shopping with her sister, spending time with her grandchildren, and camping. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 41 years, David Ralph Ayers, Sr; three sons, Christopher Ayers "Clay", Randall Ayers, and James Ayers and his wife Brandy; four brothers, James Ronald, Robert, Randall, and Roger Dale Myers; four sisters, Susie Watson, Freda Bass, Betty Jean Edgemond, and Brenda Dean Myers; eleven grandsons and two granddaughters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Ralph Ayers, Jr.; and one brother, Michael Myers. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC. The family will be at the residence, 240 Mattison Road, Anderson, SC 29626 and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
