Barbara Spearman Bishop, age 69, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at her residence. Born in Williamston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jacob "Bink" Vincent Spearman and the late Evelyn Sylvene Parker Spearman. She received a Master's Degree in Education from Clemson University. Barbara was employed by the Department of Social Services where she was a Food Stamp Case Worker. She had also worked at AnMed Health Medical Center as a counselor. She raised four children by herself and was very proud of each of them. She is survived by three children, Ralph Lee Bishop, III, of Athens, GA, Jeffry Vance Bishop, of Pelzer, SC, and Whitney Lee Bishop, of Pendleton, SC; two brothers, Randall Vincent Spearman, of Sandy Springs, and Jim Spearman, of Pelzer, SC; as well as numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter in 2015, Tracy Spearman. The Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel at Beulah Cemetery. Reverend Lee Cole officiated.
