Barbara Daniel

Barbara Elam Daniel, age 103, of Taylors, SC, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at McCall Hospice House.

Born December 2, 1922, in Newberry, SC, she was a daughter of the late Roy Elam and Eva Pulliam Elam. She was the wife of James Clifton Daniel until his death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Billie Clifford.

Barbara’s life was dedicated to education. She taught school for over 35 years before retiring. She received her undergraduate degree from Erskine College and her master’s degree from Clemson University. She was a member of Faith Free Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son, Steve Daniel and his wife Nancy; grandchildren, Jamie Daniel and his wife Anna and Matt Daniel and his wife Lindsey; and great grandchildren, Coleman and Claire.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Old Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Armen Thomassian officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Free Presbyterian Church, 1207 Haywood Rd., Greenville, SC 29615.
