Barbara Ann Donovan Dunlap, 86 of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Rainey Hospice House. Born October 26, 1935 in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Donovan and Elaine Booker Donovan. She was married to Robert Earl Dunlap until his death in 2010. Barbara was an active member of Roberts Presbyterian Church for 36 years. She was a volunteer with Telcom Pioneers where she received the Pioneer Partner of the Year Award in 2006. Barbara and her husband started the Brighter Christmas Fund in 1985 at Stone Creek Cove helping countless families. She was an avid knitter and very active with DSS. She is survived by her sons, A. David Dunlap and wife, Laura, Thomas M. Dunlap and wife, Stacey, and Keith A. Dunlap and wife, Mary; brother, James Edward Donovan and his wife, Dorothy; nine grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Charles Dunlap. The family will receive friends Monday, January 24, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Roberts Presbyterian Church with Dr. L. Jackson Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Masks are required at the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
