Barbara Ann Kinard, 90, of Starr, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Iva Post Acute Care.

Born January 14, 1934, in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Melvin King and Nettie Daniels King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Lee Kinard; brothers, James King, Milton King, and Edgar King; sisters, Dorothy Bloomingberg and Betty Bailey; daughter, Pamela Vickery, son-in-law, Ricky Vickery and great grandson, Rebel Scofield.

Barbara retired from Orr Lyons Mill after thirty years of service. She faithfully taught a children's Sunday School class for many years. Her 90 years of life reflected her faith in God and love for her family. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Me-Maw.

She is survived by her daughters Judy Kinard Evans (Bill) and Susan Kinard Burdette (Marcus), both of Iva, SC;  grandchildren, Chad Evans (Christi), Sandra Collins (Jason), Ashlea Hatcher (Kyle), Jennifer Maxwell (David), Eric Owens (Cherry), Crystal Monroe, Michael Vickery (Kristie) and Chad Vickery; fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; a special sister, Julia Howard of Pickens, SC; a brother-in-law, Frank Kinard and numerous nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with her nephew, Rev. Michael Kinard, officiating. The family will greet guests following the graveside service.
