Barbara Brewitz Lyons, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born in Benton Harbor, MI on May 12, 1962, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Brewitz. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School. Barb moved to Anderson, SC, and met her true love, Johnny Lyons. They were married for 33 years. She enjoyed a long career as a paralegal in Anderson County and her coworkers were like family to her. Barb loved her dogs and had several Labs over her lifetime. Her dog, Boone, has been a loyal companion for the last 3 years. She enjoyed spending time on Lake Hartwell with her family and close friends. She leaves behind her husband, Johnny; sister, Cheryl Mitchell (Danny); four sisters-in-law, Gay Haley (Bill), Lee Lyons, Miriam Lyons, and Andi Cannell; and a brother-in-law, Marty Lyons (Anne). Two brothers-in-law, Bubba Lyons and DJ Cannell, and a nephew, Hayden Fulp, predeceased her. Barb loved her many nephews and nieces too. A Celebration of Life service for her family and close friends will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
