Barbara Bryant McCurry, age 87, of Iva, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at her home.

Born January 18, 1938, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Amos Bryant and Macie Irene McGill Bryant. She was married to William Ira McCurry until his death in 2024. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Marshall, Otis, and Michael Bryant; and 2 sisters, Frances Bray and Doris Smith.

Barbara was always athletic, playing softball and basketball in her younger years. She was an avid tennis player and member of the Cardinal Racquet Club Senior League. She loved dancing with her husband Bill and also enjoyed gardening. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her cats. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Constantine, Joanna Heaston (David), and Beth McCourry (Michael); brothers, Ronald Bryant and Leon Bryant; sister, Lynette Melchior (David); 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with one on the way.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Union Baptist Church with Dr. James "Rudy" Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
