Barbara Ashley McIntyre Townville, SC Barbara Ashley McIntyre, age 77, gained her wings on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Born in Ware Shoals, SC, on June 8, 1937, Barbara was a daughter to the late Joe and Mirtha Moore Ashley. She retired from Park Seed. She enjoyed her friends, flower gardening and cooking especially Sunday dinner. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her son, Ken McIntyre and his wife, Kathy of Taylors, SC; sisters, Marie Humbert, Lula Roper, Ervine Haynes and Joyce Medlin. Barbara was affectionately known as "Mema" to her three grandchildren, Keeley, Krista and Chase McIntyre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Olin McIntyre; a son, Charles O. "Chuck" McIntyre, Jr., and two brothers, Marvin Ashley and Joe Ashley, Jr. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park in Hodges, SC at 3:00 pm officiated by the Reverend Kary Poole.
