BARBARA STAMEY June 14, 1953 - January 13, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Barbara Elain Stamey, age 59, of 231 Thomason Circle, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence. Born in Dorcheo, MI, she was the daughter of Mrs. Arrie Elizabeth Mennix of Anderson and the late John Mennix. She was a member of The Church of Christ. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Stamey of Anderson; her children, Paul Mennix of Pendleton and Kelli Stamey Hamilton of Royston, GA; a brother, Jim Harrison of Phoenix, AZ; and six grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Phillips. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Crowe officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Minister Brad Giffin officiating at the graveside. The family will be at the home of Rosa Stamey, 93 Hunters Lane (Hunters Glenn Subdivision) and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm.
