She was self-employed and worked several years at Clemson University.In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Rick Stepp and his wife, Wendy of Roebuck, SC; brothers, Charles Allen Owen, Steven Owen and William Larry Owen, all of Brevard, NC; sisters, Dorothy Jean Brown of Fort Mill, SC and Martha Gay Smith of Brevard, NC and five grandchildren.She was predeceased by a daughter, Resa Story Edge of Shallotte, NCThe Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Memory Garden Mausoleum Chapel in Clemson with the Reverend Steve Dickey officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
