Barbara Janette Baskin Stovall, age 89, of Iva, SC, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, at Summit Place of Anderson. Born July 29, 1933, in Iva, she was the daughter of the late John G. Hartgrove Baskin and Ada Moore Baskin. She was married to the late Neil Stovall. Barbara graduated from Forrest College and was the retired office manager of the Iva branch of Duke Power. She held numerous positions of leadership with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Garden Club. She loved to fish and shop and loved her Jack Russell Terrier, Buckwheat. Barbara was a life-long member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she served in various capacities through the years. She is survived by her brother, Clinton Baskin (Lila) of Spruce Pine, NC, a special cousin, Samuel "Buddy" Latham, goddaughter, Harper Evelyn Carson and numerous other family and friends who loved her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a special cousin, Patricia Wilson. The family will host a memorial service on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Bethel United Methodist Church in Iva. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
