She was a graduate of Girls' High School. She worked for many years for the Anderson Electric Company and was an assistant manager with Grant Department Store. Mrs. Young was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and a member of the Anderson Woman's Club. Survivors include her husband of the home; stepchildren, Rita Fowler of Anderson; Ed Finley and his wife, Beth of Tennessee, Terry Young and his wife, Susan of Anderson and Tony Young of Arizona; sister, Rachel Erwin of Belton; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Ann Bates and Chris.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Inez Cromer; brother-in-laws, James Erwin and Nelson Cromer. A Cryptside Service was held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum conducted by Dr. Glenn Taylor.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Hospice, 102 E.
