Barbra C. Thompson, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at her residence. Born in Bartow Co., GA on January 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William Luther Cobb and the late Julia Eudora Taylor Cobb. Barbara received her B.S. Degree in Nursing and worked at AnMed Health Medical Center as a cardiology nurse where she later retired. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, James C. Thompson, Jr.; a sister, Doris Radford; and a step-brother, Robert Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Dickson and Azalea Cartee; and her brothers Paul and Harry Cobb. A Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
