Isom, age 53, husband of Crystal Henderson Isom of 618 Harbor Island, Clearwater, FL, formerly of Anderson, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on July 10, 1953, Mr. Isom was a son of Vera Fowler Isom of Anderson, SC and the late D. M. 'Buck' Isom. He was retired from the school system where he was a Physical Education Instructor and coached basketball at a local private school. He was a standout basketball player at T. L. Hanna High and Anderson College and played professional basketball in England. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Crystal Henderson Isom of the home; daughters, Chelsea Isom and Emmalee Isom of the home; mother, Vera Fowler Isom of Anderson, SC; brother Jim Isom of Greenville, SC and sister, Sheila Machen of Anderson, SC. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Isom and brother, Ronnie Isom.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Rick Isom, Marty Isom, Brad Isom, Jeff Holmes, Scott Chastain, Ron Chastain, Joey Chastain and Wayne Southard. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 30, 2006 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his mother, 414 Blair Street, Anderson, SC.Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House Organization, 706 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
