Barry Lynn Pierce, age 50, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born March 12, 1970 in LaFolette, TN, he was the son of the late Jessie Ray Pierce and Nadine Brantley. Barry was a graduate of Campbell County High School, LaFolette, TN and a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country for 11 years. He was a gunner's mate aboard the USS Comte de Grasse and a 2nd Class E5 Petty Officer upon his discharge. He was a press shop manager at Magna Drive Automotive in Piedmont, SC for 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Lou Thomas Pierce; daughters, Mandy Greer of Anderson, SC, Tasha Fassett (Tyler) of West Pelzer, SC, and Kimberly Milam (Tyler) of Belton, SC; step-mother, Joann Pierce of Rocky Top, TN; grandchildren, Tyler, Hanna, Michiyaha, Trey, Emily, Brooke, Eli, Baylee, and Harley; special niece, Rainbow Brown of Middlesboro, KY; step-brother, David Raines (Cindy) of Rocky Top, TN; sisters-in-law, Kathy Rogers (Mark) of Knoxville, TN, Doris Anderson of Tazwell, TN, and Vicky Davis (Bob) of Willis, TX; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tori Hadden; step-brother, Johnny Raines; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Hurst, Rhonda Thomas, and Rita Combs. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. A private family committal service will be held at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Social distancing will be observed and masks required.
