Jane Vickery Bostic, age 75, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born February 7, 1951, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Chandler Vickery and Leona Mary Wilson Vickery. She was married to Jerry Lee Bostic until his death in 2023. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hoyt Vickery, Jr.; and sister, Gaile Adams.
Jane loved her family and friends fiercely and lived her faith out loud. She spent most of her adult life serving her Savior as a music minister's wife, children's church and nursery worker, Bible school leader, and eventually what she loved most; a clown in the clown ministry. She was so talented and crafty and could make anything she set her mind to. She worked hard in her career and then spent most of her free time taking care of her family and anyone around her. Not long after meeting Jane for the first time, she would invite you to church and then never forget your name, your face, and who you were related to.
Jane loved being a mom to her boys, Chan and Brent, and adored her husband, Jerry. She cherished family time and traditions and of course, spoiling her family, loving on her friends and church family. Her grandkids became her pride and joy, and she made sure they never left her house without feeling loved and appreciated.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest Chander "Chan" Bostic (Sonja) and Brent Lee Bostic (Melissa); grandchildren, Logan Bostic (Hayli), Connor Bostic, Anna Leigh Sumney (Eli), Katie Beth Bostic, and Cooper Bostic; and great grandchildren, Beckett Bostic and Eliza Sumney.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2:00-3:15 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm in the Chapel with Dr. Steve Silvey officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
