Benjamin Philip Velie, age 84, of Westminster, SC, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital .

Born November 19,1939 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Lewis Velie and Rose Lee Velie. He was also predeceased by his wife, Janice Elaine Velie, eight brothers and three sisters.

He was pastor of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in West Melbourne, FL for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and air boating, which was his favorite pastime. He loved the Word of God, pastoring, and his family and friends.

He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Gibson (Charles) of Westminster, SC; two sons, Eddie Velie (Nancy) of Melbourne, FL, Clinton Velie (Marcie) of Westminster, SC; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

No services will be held locally. A memorial service will be held December 9, 2023 at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, in West Melbourne, Florida.
