Bennie Sue Burdette of Anderson, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 23, 2023 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born in Anderson, she resided in Lincolnton, NC for 27 years and moved to Anderson, SC in 2009. She attended Tabernacle of the Lord in Townville. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Robert "Skeet" Burdette, father: Bennie Reece Holmes of Iva, mother: Dorthy "Dot" Holmes of Iva, brothers: Robert "Bob" Holmes of Louisiana and Marty Ray Holmes of Anderson. She is survived by her son: Benji Burdette and his wife, Geneva of Maiden, NC; daughter: Robbie Sue Anton of Anderson and six grandchildren, Susannah Whitfield and her husband, John of Anderson, Amber Queen and her husband, Matt of New Bern, NC, Rebekah Figuried and her husband, Jesse of Townville, Jonathon Anton and his wife Charity of Anderson, Mary Kiziah and her husband Jason of Anderson, and Shane Burdette and his wife Stephanie of Newton, NC and eleven great-grandchildren, Sisters: Judy Gailey and her husband David of Anderson, and Debbie Craft of Anderson.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at the Tabernacle of the Lord in Townville on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2PM with Rev. Luke Gibson, Josh Bennet, and Mark Osborne will be officiating.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends immediately after the service.
