Bennie Edward Saxon, age 78, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at his home. Born in Washington, GA on April 2, 1940, he was the son of Annis Iola Viola Anderson Saxon, who is 99 years old, of Calhoun Falls, SC and the late James Benjamin Saxon. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He loved bowling, fishing, and hunting. In addition to this mother, he is survived by his wife, Alice Gail Salladay Saxon; a son, James E. Saxon (Sheila); two daughters, Laura Kinsey and Terena Saxon; a sister, Barbara Bradley (Herman); and four grandchildren, Bryan Saxon (Shannon), Eric Kinsey, Jeremy Kinsey (Kimi); and Mitchell Kinsey (Marianne). In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Saxon. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Steve Hardy officiating.
