Born in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Carey and the late Rosa Lee Hart Carey. She worked at Jackson Mill for over 30 years. Bertha Lee was a member of Iva Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Wayne Green, of Iva, SC, Jimmy Ray "Beaver" Green, of Starr, SC, Michael Green and his wife Candy, of Abbeville, SC, Faye Kelly and her husband Jimmy, of Anderson, SC, Susan McGill and her husband Randy, of Anderson, SC and Marie Hall and her husband Keith, of Iva, SC; brothers, William Carey, of Bowman, GA and Toby Carey of Winder, GA; sisters, Ella Mae Hanks, of Iva, SC, and Rachael Eaton, of Anderson, SC; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Green; special niece and caregiver, Ann Howell; and former daughter-in law, Christie Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walter Green; a son, Doug Green; three sisters, Mary Leen Timms, Margaret Byrum and Cordell Carey; a brother, Bill Carey; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Green. The Funeral Service will be held at Iva Pentecostal Holiness Church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Reverend Billy Pinson and Reverend Charles Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
