Bessie Frances Whitfield Phillips, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21st, 2015, at AnMed Medical Health Center. Born in Townville, SC, on September 9th, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Joe Whitfield and Hattie Whitfield. She worked as a machine operator in the textile industry most of her life. She was a member of Ruhamah United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband Thed Ervin Phillips of Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home; a daughter, Janet LaCount of Donalds, SC; a sister, Thelma Baker of Clover, SC; a grandson, T.J. Phillips who was raised in the home; adopted granddaughter, Ginger Volraff and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held graveside at Ruhamah United Methodist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Dale Phillip and Reverend Billy Whitfield officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends prior to the service at The McDouglad Funeral Home Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruhamah United Methodist Church at P.O.
