Betty J. King Bailey, 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at Abbeville Nursing Home. Born July 30, 1932, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Melvin King and Nettie Daniel King. She was married to Archie Bailey until his death in 2009. Betty loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She is survived by her son, Steven Bailey (Renee) of Hodges; daughter, Lori Lanier (Gary) of Anderson; sisters, Barbara Kinard of Starr and Julia Howard of Easley; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James King; and sister, Dorothy Bloomingburg. The family will be at their respective homes. The funeral home will not be receiving flowers.
